so, this show, for me, I was 16, and my friends with me were around same age, something happened that night. not sure if if was the band, the doses or what, but hot dam! what a time, correct me if i am wrong but i think baba opened up prior to first set, we were ready, loved all of this one, special in memory. saw close to 200 shows, but for whatever reason THIS one sticks out. the morning dew earlier in run was out of this world but we had such a good time at this one.

This show is all about the Hell>Iko>LLRain>He's Gone quad to open the 2d set. Healy lets loose with the echo chamber during a spirited Hell in a Bucket, bouncing Weir off all the corners of MSG while revving the motorcycle sound effects. Not to be outdone JG nails Iko to a cross and adds on several choruses at the end. Weir responds, LLRain anyone? Garcia is more than willing to assist, bending a note about 3 1/2 minutes in that lasts about 6 seconds and will give you chills.

pretty much rocks. I always liked this show--I almost always dug first sets without the cowboy tunes (nothing against the cowboy tunes, really, but it just meant a different line up would be played). And while the second set is not a whopper or anything, I think its pretty good overall. Hell is very good, and I like LLR here (as I did that night). It may have been the second to worst of that MSG run, but it was still pretty damn good.
