my buddy and i were the only two of our clan that stayed for this monday show after smoking sat and sun shows. what a treat. stranger jam into franklin's was sweet. phil is coaxed to the mike for box of rain. he has some problems with lyrics and sings "please don't be supri-i-ised if you find me forgetting them." push to shove has some good jerry guitar. birdsong was stretched out.

When the crazy modulated voice came out of the amplifiers that night at the very beginning of the other one it was so surprising and spooky. I am of the strong opinion that The Other One is THE backbone of The Dead, and everything that comes before or after is there to feed that fire, or help put it out. I could go on and on . This rendition is short, very intense, weird and fun and alone is worth listening to this show. Turn it way up and hold on.

Went to all 3 of these shows, and I was pretty wiped out by this time, but I will never forget this show. We ALL went crazy at the start of Box Of Rain, and the Quinn absoutely blew me away. Recording sounds pretty good too...
