This was my first show, and it didn't disappoint. As in sure others pointed out, it was raining before the show, and the first two numbers reflect that. And they were great, and particularly Cold Rain and Snow... which was a stomping tune when the band was on and lagged and dragged when they weren't. There's no point in laundry listing the set lists, but there were a few highlights. Truckin' was on the money. I enjoyed China>Rider thoroughly, too, and it sounds great listening back to it today.

Wow. I attended from Alpine through Rochester on this tour, and of all the shows, this one is the best (only my opinion, of course, but just listen to this one.... godd@mn!). I don't know what did it, maybe it was the funkiness of the minor league stadium venue (i.e. dump), but they were having fun, and ON this night. Not to say there weren't occasional sloppy moments, but on the whole, everyone was firing on all cylinders. Find me a classic 1970 show that has no flubs (good luck).

Wow really great to finally listen to this first set again. Very big and the sound is excellent from Ramble on rose till the end and still very good before that. Anyway my comment on this first set besides the sound is the semi false start Queen Jane where they start it then there is this awkward split second of silence and they continue on as if nothing happened. Anyway if my memory is correct that was the point where the guy about 10 feet from me caught his arm on fire.
