    This show was a welcome return to "on keel" status after the dodgy final night at MSG (9/24). Garcia's voice was often diseased in 1988. It's not perfect here, but the reason this show works is because the band is sounding much more relaxed. 1st set: A highlight is "FOTD", which is a little more peppy than many late 80s versions. The drummers keep ALMOST letting it boil over, but ultimately they hold to their strategy, which is a pleasing boom-boom-chuck saunter through the song.

    sounds like a job. Its work to play while I stand there, hallucinating. I'll give it 3.9. I bet Jerry was like yes whatever another shoreline show another day. His voice aint good, but someone could've given him a cane soda, and no one did, I was there. The question then is how much do u pay to get out of going to these things twice? I have yet to get an answer........
