Oh, they were so ON!. The Dead at the Forum in Inglewood,CA. was in it self perfect. The seedy back alley ambience provided a certain overall weirdness that fit the whole "LA Thing". The show was excellent. The sound was crisp, clear and well balanced. And LOUD. In a good way. We had nosebleed seats so my brother (an FBI Agent!) said we've gotta move. Ended up near the soundboard (of course). Some drunk guy fell on me. I'm only 105LBS.

Absolute monster show!! I was there that night and in a very, very good head space- this was probably my fourth or fifth show, and like some other folks, I went Friday and Saturday, hung in the parking lot on Sunday and missed Dylan...I too vowed not to make that mistake again. I still have no idea why the Boys loved ripping up the Forum (it could've been the golden vibes of Kareem and Magic), but they always delivered there.

My fifth show. I was still a newbie then, so I had to ask someone what the name of Bird Song was. His answer: "Snow and Rain". Guess I wasn't the only clueless one there. More memories of this night: Zon broke my glasses in the parking lot when his keys that he threw up in the air landed square on my frames. Driving through the backstreets of Inglewood, a blonde woman in a wedding dress ran right in front of my car. Then I was up all night unable to get the riff of Bird Song out of my head.
