I was comming from NYC...Friend was in from Germany (army )...Went with 8 of my closest friends....Made with major driving problems...got lossed a few times ..(no sleep - no map-Etc...)So any who we were ther for the first show had a motel room ...My friend Jerry after the first night ..couldnt find him waited for what seemed like hours...To no avail went back to the motel partyed...slept...Next mornning i left real early hoping to find ol jerry....Stopped at a pay phone.

This is all Wier for me. I have been looking for a SBD of this show for 15 years. The first night gets all the rave, and for good reason. I however was partial to Bobby during this phase, it was just one of the zillion reasons that I was there. The backhand, the antics, name it. Anyway during El Paso he had this shining blue light on him and it was just majestic. Mydland's vocals are tight. Now I am rambling. Thanks for the Board! I give it a 5 but I am not objective.

  • ★★★★ · Not as good as night before · skr213 · 2008

Overall: good show, but not quite as strong as night before, IMO. Why is there a dearth of decent recordings of these Pitt shows? Of the multiple recordings on Archive of these two nights, this is the only decent recording. The scene: after the disasters of the night before, this night had a cloud hanging over it. Police state in PA.
