Actually I rate it "almost" a 5, but that goes up if I leave out everything before Masterpiece. They took a while to warm up on this evening, especially Jerry, but the rest of the show is one of the hottest Dead shows you'll get from the year. The recording is a little boxy, but you get over it. I really like Built to Last, but the only rendition I've ever heard that was any good was on the album. At least Garcia remembered most of the words this time.

Lucked out hearing this show for my first. Sitting 3rd row Jerry side was amazing. Gr8 energy from all and wharf rat had me in tears of joy. I'm so glad I'm able to hear this set again.

Interesting show here. Jerry's leads are a times slow and calculated, other times taking the path seldom traveled. Built to Last speaks of "One bright star..." and "All the stars are gone but one, morning breaks..." But where things get really evident is in the jam right out of Scarlet, where Wier, playing a midi tone often used by Jerry, plays the melody of Dark Star in harmony with the Scarlet theme.
