a veteran of just over 100 shows, i can say this one stands out as a fave. why? i was fortunate enough to have been chosen by peter barsotti at BGP to create a float for the mardi gras parade. back when mail order was happening for these shows, you could leave your name/number and an idea for a float. this was just a few months after the berlin wall had come down, so i suggested a berlin wall float that would be dismantled during the parade. when barsotti called, i flipped.

My Birthday show, 2/27. Woulda loved to have been w/ the Boyz...but I was East coast. Saw the DC shows and Omni run a couple weeks from now. Had this tape w/ me thru that whole year (can't remember if my copy was cut the same as this one after bird song) - no idea where that ol Maxell 90min slice of happiness is today -- man this is Fun show. Output on Phil is awesome. They rip their MIDI-fied sound pretty well on this night. The smiles from Sugaree mustve BEAMED!!! Jerry is ON.

This was a particularly "good vibe" night. This was the last of three fun, exciting, relaxing, colorful nights. The parade was incredible!! I remember Bill Walton reiding a giant Chuck Taylor high top! It all comes back in waves, especially when the Victim space kicked in. The Masterpiece (listening right now) was nicely paced and done i think well. So many good aspects to this show. Bird Song now and then THE PARADE! Michael Doucet in the Iko-Woman Smarter. Just a real fun time.
