This was the second grateful dead show I ever got on tape, it came to me with most of space edited out and unlabeled, it took some Deadbase researching to figure out that it was 3-30-90. This is a great show, the pre-space segment of set 2 is 42 minutes of magic!! You'll look at both setlists and say I'm nuts, but you cannot listen to this gem and deny the playing is outstanding. Help>Slip>Frank (like the Eyes from 3-29) appears on Without a Net, but the second set is really where the boys take risks and you reap the reward. Though it looks pedestrian on paper, the seamless transitions from Playin thru Terrapin make this a remarkable second set that got me hooked the first time I heard it on the FM broadcast.

I was at the night before with Mr. Marsalis and heard this one on the radio the next night and liked this better.Plus was in Dahab Egypt in 1992 with a tape I recorded off of WNEW which broadcast the show live and lent it to a Sudanese refugee at a disco in Dahab and never saw him or my tape again as I played it in the Disco. He must have really dug that tape. And I really dig it too. 90 Dead at it's best! Listen to this show and grin! Branford is Dead Light IMO.
