    Other than a rare Uncle opener, the 2nd set start reads like a typical 1990 show. But here, every version of these 5 songs is special. The Uncle Johns' is played so lyrically on Jerry's strings. I don't know what it was about tonight, but his guitar work, both as lead and as filler, was both sublime and torching. Listen to the China solos, especially going into Rider. Extremely tight, and Bob's rhythm playing was superb, which helped Jerry push harder.

    Ah, sweet memories of summer! This is one of my favorite 'Sunny-Day' tapes to play, the sound really reflects that summertime feeling. What a perfect day, no expectations on the first night and whamo, magic! The previous reviews hit on all the high points, but I'm surprised no one has mentioned Bobby falsetto screams during Estimated, he really goes off with neck veins popping out, eyes crossing and spit flying! If you like the one on View/Vault at Shoreline, this one is even better.

    I'm seeing a lot of reviews here that make this show sound like it had a "few" highlights. This show packed a ton of energy and the band came out firing in the 2nd set. I haven't heard anybody mention here that this was the date of their 25th anniversary although it was never brought up or noted at the show. Coupled with the fact that it was a full moon, I thought we might get a "Dark Star" out of the deal.
