My freshamn year of high school was in the fall of 2008. I was turned on to the Grateful Dead by my best friend, a fellow idealist, who I met the first day of Kindergarten in 1999. That summer, (Summer 2009) we went to stay in New Jersey with a couple of my relatives, and of course, brought all our old bootleg tapes with us, this show happened to be in there. Little did we know that my uncle was a Deadhead, and actually went to this show.

This was my first Dead Show. I was in 8th grade and myself and Brett Sein, wnet with Brett's older sister's boyfriend Dave Goldman. Thanks to Dave, Hal, Fern, and the whole TCBY posse that turned me on to the Dead. Clearly, there was no turing back! Man, I miss Spectrum shows, but thanks to all the tapers who put this stuff on archive so us old and in the way heads can relive our magical youth.

Well...I guess a few. Great show. I'm not sure if it was just me, but the exit/apex of the Foolish Heart jam kicked my body and mind into the stratosphere. As I write this, I am hoping to God I get that feeling back again........soon! Thank you Jerry. And that you Archive for the great public service you do for all Heads!
