    Great sound. The B&K's really grabbed Phil's bass for this whole show. It was great to hear the taper talking about that-I guess he listened quick to what he had on tape just before the Quinn encore. The kind of tape that really makes you wish you were there...... If you don't get it by the time you arrive at the GDTRFB in this show, you never will. What a great second set and close out to this show.

    In Blair Jackson's book "Garcia: An American Life" he takes the liberty of saying that this night -- and the next night 9/20/90 -- represented two of the best, most monumental shows of the modern age...and he couldn't be more correct. Not sure why the reviewer below said that Jack Straw was good (warts and all) -- this, IMHO, is the single BEST Jack Straw performed EVER.
