I agreed to go to university in Munich, Germany to see this tour. Many people don't know that these shows were broadcast live on the radio. I can't tell you how special it was to have the Dead going out over the radio across Berlin...of all places! The ICC was a tiny place, with perfect acoustics, and stuffed seats. Berlin had just reunited, and there was a special vibe in the air for sure. The highlight of the show for me was listing to the mix you are listening to AS IT WAS BEING RECORDED!

I think I'm right on this - but this was a surprise show. We had left Essen, and got here before the train since we were in a car. And found out that this show had been added. So we were able to snag 3rd row tickets. Had to leave the front though due to overcrowding but it didn't matter because the back was the place to be (lots of space to do your thing). Super small venue - maybe as small as Essen.

Was there in that immaculate futuristic place. Best show of the tour IMO. Shakedown is funkadelic with great interplay between Jerry and Vince. Berlin and Germany were the best shows of this tour IMO other tan Holloween. Only Shakedown, LTGTR, Deal, Mobile of the tour. And not a surprise show Anthony. Was planned long before. Got my tickets about a month before in the States. And to Evan S. Hunt 10/13 was better???? But if you dig it, well ok.
