    For some reason, this is my favorite "Help > Slip > Franklin's." One of those "just exactly perfect" jams.

    There were plenty of shows featuring Bruce Hornsby around this time, but he didn't come out west for these three shows at the Oakland Coliseum Arena. I'm a bit biased because I went to this show, but it seemed the band was trying to break out a bit during this 'homestand'. The first night, the 19th, saw the first New Speedway Boogie since 1970, and the second two nights had tease jams that got the crowd very excited -- Other One on the 20th, and Terrapin on the 21st.
