Someone else below commented, something along the lines of, *I was at this show. The setlist was different from many shows I saw before. Something about this day was different.* There was something different about this show. Granted, it was my 7th show, with my first six being 12-8/9/110-89 LA Forum and Oakland Chinese New Year shows 2-25/26/27-90 ... both from which Without a Net draws ...

We all have our favorite years of the Dead, but this is an undeniably strong show. They must have sound-checked R&C 'cause a photographer came by before the show and casually said they'd be playing it. We thought 'ya right'...but they did and it blew us all away...this version is excellent and the end jam has a cadence that's different than the original and works much better IMHO. A Crazy Fingers start leads to a 2nd set with insane jamming, especially from Phil.
