I recall waiting for the usher to tear my ticket as the crowd howled inside as the boys took the stage; mad panic to find our seats. Two days before my birthday and only show I'm going to see before it, besides last night before it. We get to our seats, lower bowl 3rd section on Jerrys side and they open "on the day when I was born." The tabs kick in and I'm off. Rooster/Stagger Lee remind me of one of my favs from Hampton '88 and I know we are in for a great one. Short 1st set but upbeat.

This is one very good show. The sounds is as crisp as a fall mcintosh apple. 1/2 Step to get things cooking. Then a scorcing Rooster, the Queen Jane as the medicine started to kick in. China/Rider "wish I was a headlight" Truckin>short Smokestack>D/S Killer version of old Black Peter, not at the keys anymore... Screaming twisitng Sugar Magnolia to get our bones shakin and a U.S. Blues encore to remind us of summers passing. 9/4 is hot also.
