Seventh night of a nine night MSG run. Killer Stranger into Bertha to start. Dire Wolf is a definite highlight. Funky a** West L.A. with horns as well. The recording on Archive of this show is super clean. Don't Ease Me In to finish the first set. Very nice. Nice soloing on Saint of Circumstance. Beautiful Comes a Time into Uncle John.

The hardest question about this show is which set was hotter. Tough to say. They smoked all night long. This show gets passed over because of the other shows at MSG and Boston Garden but this is one of my most listened to shows. I caught most of the shows on this tour and this is one of the better ones and, in my opinion, this show is one of the best of the 90's, not quite as good as 6/17/91 but what show from the 90's is?

A splendid performance and juicy recording. All the livelong fancy stuff of dreams. Great first set with minimal dropouts or perversions. Lots of graceful guitar work and interconnecting keys. Interesting second set jam ~ Vince starting it with a dazzling fugue-like calliope and circus organ so distracting that Jerry quickly takes up his axe and slays a lead-in that bridges the two very abruptly, appropriately, and then a long, disjointed jam ensues and becomes anger personified falling into…
- ★★★★★ · 2nd best show of MSG 91'? · feellikeastranger · 2004
i was still feeling the rush from the branford night going into this one and i was blown away again. the room seemed oversold tonight, place was PACKED!! first set was long and hot. had trouble finding seats so i watched the band from the first walkaround on jerrys side and tonight he was dominating the show. i thought the set was over after music never stopped, and it didnt . set 2 was a fantastic run of jerry tunes.
