If you recall, Jerry almost died, and December 2nd and 3rd were the first two concerts the boys played. I remember the 2nd's show was really like, "Can we still DO this?"; the 3rd was, "Oh, hell yes, we can still do this!" For set one, I was 25 rows, right center; for the second set, 9th row, right. It was one of those shows... what can you say? By the time we made it to Gloria, it was a hymn, and you were ready to give up smoking and change your religion.

This has to be the most solid Dead show I have ever seen. Jerry's vocals are in rare form (just listen to Peggy-O). A review in Duprees commented on how we haven't heard Jerry sound like this since the early 80's. Also one of the best Little Red Rooster I have ever heard. A blizzard moved into Denver durring this show creating a surprise for us all afterward. Could somebody share the soundboard of this one! I know its out there.

This was my last dead show. I don;t remember much about set 1. Set 2 whips a**. The entire set - get it. This definitely seems to be FOB. I helped make an FOB this night with B&K 4011. I'm just listening, and the sound is great, although it appears taper had to hide mics in the middle of the playin' jam, and also I can occassionally hear beels on someone's ankles. SUch are the joys of FOB. At any rate - this is one of those sets that I had chills, and the hair on my neck rose.
