I only saw a handfull of shows, but this one was my first. We drove from Mississippi. I especially remember the thunder storm. Wild! We were on the field, and I remember looking up and seeing some crazy guy climbing up the stadium lights while the lightning was so close. I thought Sting was pretty good too. Except he played the exact same set on Saturday, then came back Sunday with something different, including some cool covers(even some Beetles and Hendrix).

I brought my mom and step dad to this show. The traffic was so bad we parked a distance away and had to walk to the show. We missed Sting. By the time we got there it was hailing and I took my parents up the back to the top to get a view and they were announcing to get off the metal bleachers because of the lightning. My moms favorite song was Ramble on Rose and she was thrilled to hear it. I try to explain the luck she had, hearing the one song she wanted at the one show she went to.

Legend has it that a guy was struck by lighting in the parking lot. He was bleeding out both eyes. Paramedics treated him but he refused to go the hospitol opting to go to the show instead. Wise choice. The heat at the begining was almost unbearable. That freak storm that drove the band backstage just as they were starting actually cooled the place down, though everything was all wet and slimy. The golden moment for me came when Jerry started playing this beautiful, bouncy guitar intro.
