This was an awesome show for the extremely needy. It was a reasonably warm day, the parking lot shakedown street was always kind in vegas. We had driven in from so. cal. and were DEAD tired. There was clouds and some light rains and drizzle most of the day and into the first set. There was also some pretty impressive lightning. Into the set break the sky was still crying. Then came the second set. The boys come out and start the usual routine of tune-noodling as I've heard it called.

- ★★★★★ · I'm sick of fake Deadheads · King Enots · 2007
I'm sick of fake Deadheads bashing there favorite so-called band. This show was the bomb you have rain & lightning in the desert. Plus you had Jerry Garcia...right? This isn't the same band with the great Brent, or the great band in the '70s, or even the monsters of the 68-69 years. This is them now doing this for you remember that. Had Jerry took off a few years he'd still be around today. He gave his life for this. And all people can say is this show sucked...you suck!
- ★★★★★ · BIRD SONG!!! · gratefulweb · 2006
Whatever people think about sound problems from certain parts of the venue, or comparatively less than stellar jamming on certain tunes, or simply poor song selection...it is indisputable that this Bird Song is one of the more adventurous takes on a great song that the boys have played in the Nineties, including the Branford Eyeses...It is not smooth like those Branford Eyeses, but it is psychedelic and schizophrenic and surprisingly fun on every listen...
