Jerry is storming right out of the gate and the band throws down a super good first set. The tone Jerry was getting out of Rosebud on this June tour is exceptional, and Wang Dang is a perfect example of him getting nice and dirty. Tom Thumb and Tennessee Jed are perfect too, the only glitch was Bobby delivering an uneven Picasso to end the set. The second Victim> Crazy Fingers of this tour, I really liked this combo, is a another text book perfect pairing.

I still get dizzy just thinknig about Phil's voice and Jerry's guitar on what is, in my opinion, the best Tom Thumb's I have ever heard. Phil is enunciating each and every word to the point of madness. And just as impressive is the absolutely perfect notes Jerry is laying down right in response to Phil's lines. "...swore that they would stand beside me when the game got rough..." is followed by a heart wrenching pickin' performance as are the last few and many of the previous lines.
