out of about 60 shows. yeah, it started slow, but sometimes they teased us mercilessly (8-28-82) before getting us off like never before. this second set was a pure GD exhibition: bobby, vince, phil, JERRY, JERRY, JERRY, bobby, lennon. During the Terrapin jam, people were turniing to each other, jaws dropped, "is this really happening?" Of course it might have been the LSD, but as Bear said, what you see on acid is REAL.

- ★★★★★ · Wow.... Impressed. · darazn1 · 2014
I once listened to the first set of this show, and it was one of the lamest I think I've ever heard. The band was so deeply out of synch, it was disturbing. After someone posted about this show on Facebook today, I decided to give this Terrapin Station a chance. One thing about the Grateful Dead... if Jerry was throwing down a sub-standard performance, he never failed to come back and give 100% to something.
- ★★★★★ · Robert Hunters B-Day · DrkStr4eva · 2005
Initially not the most exciting show, until you realize its Robert Hunters B-Day! Everyone was accutely aware of this at this show. Each member of the band plays a "new" Hunter tune (Long Way, Lazy River, Easy Answers, + Wave to the Wind). Then they launch into a "Phoenix from the Ashes" Terrapin, sick D/S>Dark Star>Wheel, as if to make up for all the straight tunes. LSD closes the night (Appropriately).
