This is the show inwhich the Boston run really took off. The band is firing on all cylinders and right out of the gate it is really good. The 1st set is very strong with a sing along opener LTGTR>Bertha>GSET. Bertha has Jerry really pushing it along with extended solos and faster than usual tempo.He did this in Landover and NYC too.There is great work from Bobby and Phil with them really amped up. GSET is maybe the best from this year with Jerry stepping it up on the wah wah pedal.

Cause that is what this is... A slow start with very little focus from Garcia really bogs this show down as it really doesn't pick up until Lazy River Road or Eternity. However, Eternity is a deff. keeper. Victim solid yet really not fully explored, Foolish is a little too loose for my goose, LLR is solid and Samba is just Samba. BUT BUT BUT...

A solid rating. The Foolish Heart played here is my favorite version ever. Jerry's "Foolish" solo will give you the chills....slowly escalating, improvisational buildup. Lots of teases where they could have let-it-go, but didn't. The whole band was on the same page. I'm willing to overlook any lyrical mishaps in the song in appeciation for this delicious little goodie. Greatest Story->West L.A. is very good. The jam mentioned previously in here is also notable...Russian sounding, IMO.
