My first 94 show! Soundboard. Help-Slip-Franklin to start and the boys sound good! Don’t know how else to describe the Slipknot other than sinister. So good and dark. Althea solid as a rock. Really clean So Many Roads. Massive Scarlet-Fire to start second set followed by Way to Go Home and top shelf Saint of Circumstance. Really pretty Stella Blue. Not fiery or impassioned. Reserved and beautifully allowed to unwind. Might be my highlight of the show. Liberty encore which is pretty cool.

Hi guys..... i dont often write any reviews here, but i just had to put my 2 cents in on this....as an amateur guitar player and total anal taper head who picks up on "every little thing" (to the point that I start to annoy people!) Ive just got to say that at 11:25 into the Scarlet track, Jerry starts doing this little MIDI flute thing, and right as Jerry starts to get cooking on it, Phil immediately starts RIPPING into the Fire bass line and Jerry INSTANTLY takes that little riff and weaves…

I have to preface and say that I'm an ardent NY'er. And consequently, I have a prejudice against all things Boston-- and that extends to the comparison of Dead shows. But I have to say that the 10/1 Boston show is damn good show-- and arguably the best of '94. The band is clearly "on," and they're into it.

This show is such a bright shining light in a sea of darkness that defined the last year or two of the Grateful Dead. Everything in the first set is played tight and with a lot of energy. Vince's playing is really nice without the too high in the mix annoying tinkling toy piano sound that he often used. Very tasteful.
