It was my first Dead show with floor seats. Just left of the soundboard. The Omni was practically pulsating. Great crowd. Rocking out. Up in smoke. Alabama Getaway was the highlight energy-wise. It was a fabulous end to the first set. Brought down the house. Killer setlist, just fabulous choices. Obviously not the tightest performance. Was an undergrad at Emory in the ATL at the time. Always will remember that night. For it's time and place, the sum was certainly better than parts.

There were rumors in ATLANTA that by '96 the dead were going to do a 6 night run at the OMNI. Anyway, I liked the Alabama to end the 1st set (felt like early '80's again). Schoolgirl was also a rare treat--look up how many times they played that post '60's. China>Rider nice smooth fun ride. Was this the Spectum run '89 I saw? No way. Was it just as fun being along for the ride? You bet

I did all of the Atlanta shows in 1995. This was the last time I got to see Jerry. The sound quality is good, but the show lacks in many ways. Jerry looked out of sorts from Touch and it got worse. Nice set list and Visions is nice. 3-27-95 and 3-30-95 were better shows.
