This killer show is often overlooked by the following nights' Dark Star breakout, but DON'T MISS THIS ONE! These shows were some of the most energetic (audience and band) that I ever experienced. The tune-up before "Help" as Jerry established the tempo was incredible, as all of us on Phil's side figured out what was coming up next!

I'm not a "everything after 1967 sucks" level snob but I usually gravitate to shows between 69 and 79. After listening to this show, I'm gonna correct that blindspot immediately. H/S/F is the obvious draw and its great but the Victim is just amazing. I'm not usually a big fan but the whole song is excellent. Bobby's singing is nice and strong without any unnecessary screams or yells.

These October 1989 shows are great. No "Dark Star" here, but I think this might be a better show overall. The band sounds energized and inspired. I like the uptempo "Wheel." I think I've heard an even faster one, although I can't find it again. Very powerful "Morning Dew". The SBD is sweet. Is this from the multi-tracks they were recording for Without a Net? The mix is excellent (could use a bit more Phil, if I'm nitpicking) and you can even hear the crowd at key points.
