box set Volume 11. Great solo on Mr. Charlie. Good earlier Sugaree. Sing Me Back Home! Bare bones Casey Jones has a lot of energy. Killer Eleven. Reeeaaalll far out.
box set Volume 14. Nice Mr.. Charlie. Bob has great vocal on Black Throated Wind. Killer Loser. The Other One into one of my favorite versions of Bobby McGee back into Other One! Whoa.
box set Vol. 8. Starting off show with a blistering Trucking. Kickass Chinatown Shuffle. I almost forgot how dope this song was. Mr. Charlie will make ya shake dat a**. This is massive show. They play 25 total tracks. Lovely bluesy Next Time You See Me with killer Pigpen harmonica and vocals. Killer solo on Bobby McGee. 17 and a half minute Good Lovin which is very nice. They end of slowing it down and doing some really cool s*** at the end of it. Dark Star gets real far out there.
Vol. 17. Live from Luxemburg. Radio broadcast. Nice clean upbeat Bertha to start. Good clean Mr. Charlie. One of the best I have heard in awhile. Mmmmmmm Hurts Me Too. Super funky Tennessee Jed. Jerry has some tasty licks during Playing in the Band. Jerry smokes the solo in a long nine minute Truckin into a short two and a half minute Drums followed by a massive twenty minute Other One.
Killer Big Boss Man. Locked in on one of the best Mr. Charlie. Strong Me and Bobby McGee to close out first set. Brokedown Palace is always a treat but this one is perfect. So intimate feeling. Plus they follow with Casey Jones to end the monster first set. Smoking Big Railroad Blues. Super clean Uncle John into Wharf Rat. Incredible 35 minute Dark Star and I swear it sounds like they are working out the main part of Eyes around 20 minutes in. So tasty before spiraling into complete psychedelic chaos. Strong Sugar Magnolia coming out of it. One of the best Comes a Time! Jerry’s vocals are so clean on it.
